Runner's Depot opened its doors on September 1, 2000, and quickly
became the center of the running community. Over the past 8 years,
Runner's Depot has worked hard to create an interesting, informative
and fun atmosphere at its running stores. The staff at Runner's Depot
are well trained to accurately and personally 'fit' every customer who
walks in the door. We are fortunate to have a staff whom we consider
"family." We are ALL runners and/or triathletes who truly enjoy working
with people and love the sport.
Running is our passion. We strive to carry the most technically innovative running and triathlon shoes, apparel, and accessories available in today's marketplace. Our goal is to be considered one of the best running stores in the country. We are well on our way, being voted one of the Top 25 Running Stores in America by Runner's World Magazine. Runner's Depot was also named one of the Top 50 Running Stores in America for 2008 by the Running Network and Formula 4 Media, Inc. Runner's Depot is staffed with runners who care. Our staff has over 100 years of combined running experience. We serve world class athletes, local competitors, recreational runners, and beginners of all ages. Our goal is to make every customer feel welcome and comfortable in our store while having a unique and fun experience. Footwear Our favorite topic! We love shoes and we are running shoe geeks. We carry a full line of Nike, Asics, New Balance, Adidas, Brooks, Mizuno, Pearl Izumi, Saucony and Merrell. We have the most comprehensive selection of training shoes, lightweight trainers, road racing flats, track and cross country spikes and "after the run" shoes and sandals in Broward County. Whether you're running for fitness or competition, we have the shoe for you! Our staff will take the confusion out of buying running shoes. We will watch you walk and run, analyze your foot type, check the fit, and recommend shoes that will keep your feet feeling great. You can even take the shoes for a test ride outside, or on our in-store treadmill. Our treadmills are equipped with a video camera and 42" screen HDTV so you can watch your own stride as we analyze it. We are known all over the state for our expertise in putting runners in the right footwear. We always stress that when you finish your workout, whether it's 20 minutes or 20 miles, the last thing you should be thinking about is taking your shoes off because your feet hurt. We believe our customers have the happiest feet on the planet! Apparel Yes, technical apparel does make a difference. Synthetic fabrics like Cool-Max and Dri-Fit wick perspiration away from your skin and help the perspiration evaporate quicker, keeping you drier on your runs. We carry a full line of shorts, singlets, bras, tech tops, pants, tights and jackets from Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Brooks, Asics, Hind, Blue Fish, DeSoto, Mizuno, TYR, Race Ready, Pearl Izumi and more. It's great when you can look good and feel good while grinding out the miles, no matter what the temperature. There is no bad weather when you have the right apparel. Accessories If you're into gadgets or just want to figure out a way to keep your laces tied, Runner's Depot carries lace locks, elastic laces, socks, baby joggers, pedometers, heart monitors, watches, speed and distance monitors, sun glasses, running jewelry, gear bags, water belts, reflective gear, hats, gloves, insoles, Bodyglide, muscle rub, Endurox & Accelerade, Gu and gels, a full line of energy bars, running books, running logs, magazines, Life is Good products, and some of the wildest socks you'll ever see. We also have gift cards. If it's made for running, we probably have it, and we can help you decide if it's right for your needs. Race Information We go to great lengths to keep our race information center stocked with local, regional and national race applications. You can even pre-register for most local races right at our store, picking up your number and t-shirt packet on the spot - a great time and money saver on race day morning! Training For the past 5 years, Runner's Depot has hosted group runs through the Runner's Depot Training Team. These workouts are geared towards improving race times and fitness levels at all distances. We generally do track runs on Tuesdays, long runs on Saturdays and hill training on Thursdays. However, whether you're a member of our training team or not, we are always happy to answer your training questions or recommend someone who can. |

Reneé Grant
Reneé is an active member of the local area running clubs and is president of the Gold Coast Runners. In 2002, Reneé was recognized by the Sun-Sentinel's sports columnist Sharon Robb as the top club president in South Florida and in 2004 the Gold Coast Runners was recognized as the best running club. |

Reneé, the founder of the Runner's Depot, is well known on the South Florida Running scene.
She is an accomplished local runner, completing several marathons including Boston in 2003.
